Dog(s) of the day

So this is Georgie and Seamus! They are both beautiful Golden Retrievers from The Gap in Brisbane. The main reason I rate these 2 dogs over the hundreds I wash is simply their nature. Georgie has been riddled with issues,  both health and body-wise, her whole life and is still the sweetest, most loving pooch around! Her skin and coat is still a little patchy and she has to be bathed in all natural skin sensitive products but since I have known her she has been getting better and better. She currently has a thick (for her), fluffy coat all shiny for summer. She HATES being blow dried so that is out and is only recently letting me clip her nails without showing me her pearly whites. I would like to think we are friends now and she lets me do pretty much whatever I want :-) I pet-sit for these dogs often and she and I hang out on the couch having furry hugs while I am there.

Seamus is a little younger then Georgie and SUUUUUUUUUPER full of boundless, endless energy. His number 1 obsession is his cong and I honestly believe that. given the chance, he would play non stop day and night!! Seamus also doesn't let me blow dry his coat :-( I am really proud of Seamus's mum as he is very willful and strong but with her determination and dedication his training is going really really well. Their mum is the last (but certainly certainly certainly not least) reason these dogs are rated so high. She is an AMAZING pet owner who would lay in traffic for her dogs. Between Georgie's expensive vitamin pills and sardine diet and Seamus's fresh meat their mum holds my belief of 'nothings too good' :-)

Love you guys and can't wait to come pamper you next month!!!

A new day at Tails and Whiskers

Hi Everyone!!

My name is Lou Kramer and I own and operate a mobile dog wash named Tails and Whiskers. This blog is dedicated to introducing to the world all the beautiful (and now very clean) dogs that I wash and groom.

Dog lovers will love the pics of the variety of different breeds, and also hopefully appreciate the 'next generation' wash I run.

As for my very first blog, I thought I had better introduce the actual van itself as it IS the lifeblood of the entire operation.

So here it is...
...My mobile space station!!!

So as you can see Tails and Whiskers is more of a mobile salon, then a trailor with a tub. I have the ability to be out of all elements, close of the area for nervous pets and cats, have more room to move and allow owners to come inside and be comfortable while watching or giving their fur kid encouragement. I adore my van!!!

So, thats my blog for now. I intend to update often with new customer pics, stories and info on upcoming pet events in North Brisbane.
