Buster

So this is Buster!

Buster lives in The Gap, Brisbane with his awesome mum Justine. Justine and Buster are a couple of my original cliants and I adore them :-)

Buster is quite possibly the sookiest dog on this planet and always always puts up this great big fuss when leaving the house for my van. He does everything from the 'drag along the rugs', 'pee on the floor', 'hide in another room' then looks longingly back to this mum the whole walk out of the yard. Once he is outside the gate, however, he is all gungho and leaps happily into the van and waits to be lifted into the bath :-)

Very cool dog and I have been using his pic in my advertising from the start!!!

Dog of the day...Jett!!!

Hi guys, well...follower of 1!

Today's dog of the day is a regular of mine who I actually washed today and decided he was perfect for my next post.

This is Jett

Jett in all his glory :-)
So why do I love this great big galoumph (yes it is a word) so much? Because he is so damn cool! This dog loves his bath so much that while his mum, Leona, and I am gabbing out the front all we do is open the gate.

He runs out of his yard, says a quick bounding g'day, runs to the van, jumps in, jumps in the bath and sits there waiting for me to come and start!!! I think if he could turn the water on and work the hose he would!

Awesome!

The pic above speaks for itself I think...look at how fast his tail is wagging!

I love going to this house every month as well as Leona and I have so much in common. I really think we could stand there all day yabbering away :-) I started washing Jett because his regular washer went and had a baby. I am very happy for her but more happy for me as I picked up the most gentle, happiest, friendliest lab around...and your not too bad yourself Leona :-)

Pet of the day...

So this is Bob. A SUPER handsome Ragdoll cat from Gaythorne, Brisbane.

I wash at least 1 cat a week and Bob is by far the most easy-going...and by far the loudest! I sware I am just waiting for a neighbour to hear his commotion and call the RSPCA!

Those eyes...need I say more !!!!

Flynnigan Abigail and Zoo Studio

So I am friends with some pet photographers and ended up swapping some free dog washes for a photo session. It is one of the best trades I have ever done as Bec and Ken Drake are FANTASTIC people!!

I got a call from Bec the other day to tell me that she loved one of the pics we got of Flynn (my British Cocker Spaniel) so much that she was going to use her in their next advertising campaigne!

So this is her...Gorgeous right ?!?!?!? She is going to be on flyers, these special offer sheets and 'Paws and Claws' Magazine :-) Go Flynn!!! Now I just need to work on the cat...

If you are in the Brisbaneish area and looking into pet photography I can't rate Zoo studio more highly. Give them a call now as they are getting busy for the holidays. It is great for you but also a great gift idea!

Dog(s) of the day

So this is Georgie and Seamus! They are both beautiful Golden Retrievers from The Gap in Brisbane. The main reason I rate these 2 dogs over the hundreds I wash is simply their nature. Georgie has been riddled with issues,  both health and body-wise, her whole life and is still the sweetest, most loving pooch around! Her skin and coat is still a little patchy and she has to be bathed in all natural skin sensitive products but since I have known her she has been getting better and better. She currently has a thick (for her), fluffy coat all shiny for summer. She HATES being blow dried so that is out and is only recently letting me clip her nails without showing me her pearly whites. I would like to think we are friends now and she lets me do pretty much whatever I want :-) I pet-sit for these dogs often and she and I hang out on the couch having furry hugs while I am there.

Seamus is a little younger then Georgie and SUUUUUUUUUPER full of boundless, endless energy. His number 1 obsession is his cong and I honestly believe that. given the chance, he would play non stop day and night!! Seamus also doesn't let me blow dry his coat :-( I am really proud of Seamus's mum as he is very willful and strong but with her determination and dedication his training is going really really well. Their mum is the last (but certainly certainly certainly not least) reason these dogs are rated so high. She is an AMAZING pet owner who would lay in traffic for her dogs. Between Georgie's expensive vitamin pills and sardine diet and Seamus's fresh meat their mum holds my belief of 'nothings too good' :-)

Love you guys and can't wait to come pamper you next month!!!

A new day at Tails and Whiskers

Hi Everyone!!

My name is Lou Kramer and I own and operate a mobile dog wash named Tails and Whiskers. This blog is dedicated to introducing to the world all the beautiful (and now very clean) dogs that I wash and groom.

Dog lovers will love the pics of the variety of different breeds, and also hopefully appreciate the 'next generation' wash I run.

As for my very first blog, I thought I had better introduce the actual van itself as it IS the lifeblood of the entire operation.

So here it is...
...My mobile space station!!!

So as you can see Tails and Whiskers is more of a mobile salon, then a trailor with a tub. I have the ability to be out of all elements, close of the area for nervous pets and cats, have more room to move and allow owners to come inside and be comfortable while watching or giving their fur kid encouragement. I adore my van!!!

So, thats my blog for now. I intend to update often with new customer pics, stories and info on upcoming pet events in North Brisbane.
